Leafs would decline this trade. Marner is a top 10 scorer in the NHL and franchise player and is in a different league than Boeser. Tanev is UFA at end of season and Woo is unproven prospect at this point.

Leafs would need a franchise player back for Marner in any trade. Canucks would need to offer up Petterson and Horvat if they want Marner.

Boesser is tied for 9th in the league in all time goals per game among active players. Tied with Tavares, Kutcherov, Devrincat, and Tarensenko.

Marner is 91st.

Holy moly man! I would do that trade in a heartbeat as a Leafs fan!!! The cap savings alone would allow them to add another player at or before the trade deadline. I doubt the Canucks would do it though. They are a rudderless ship in a sea of bad signings for overpaid has-beens! Sorry Canuckleheads, but it is true.
