If the sabres take a goalie 11oa im buying a leafs jersey. Also, the will have to trade back to 11 is my guess.

Askarov has legitimate potential to be a top 5 goaltender in the world within 2-3 years.

Imagine being confident every game because both of your goalies are elite, the game of hockey is easy when you only have to score 2 goals to win on most nights.

I know the Sabres offense in 2018-19 was pretty awful, but the additions of Cozens, Olofsson, and Heponiemi should really help + Reinhart, Dahlin, Mittelstadt, and Eichel are all still getting better as time goes on.

You build contenders from the back end up.

Botterill has greatly improved the defense, offense is looking semi dangerous for the 1st time in awhile, but the only spot that has been neglected is goaltending, Luukkonen will be ready by 2020-21 and Askarov will be 2021-22 at the latest.

    Franchise C + Generational D + Franchise G = success for many many seasons.

Love the idea and the thought, my only concern would be that the Sabres won't have the cap to sign both of those goalies long term. I hope that Dahlin will take a 8x 7-9m deal to try and make the team good. I think he is one of the best if not going to be the best defensemen in the next 2-3 years so I'm not afraid to pay him 11-13m
