Marner plays in more games, puts up more points, and is much better defensively. Yes, Matthews is an elite goal scorer but he is a pylon on defense. Isn’t a center supposed to be a complete player?

there are many players in the league who aren't great defensively, but when you are the one putting the goals in the net making everyone around you look better with their silly assist numbers, it seems lots of people look the other way. I guess there is a reason for that. Like I don't know, the score board.
