I mean ANA has 0 need for Lindgren (unless he can play RD) bc they already have lindholm Fowler (who can play RD) Guhle Mahura Larsson an LaCombe as future LD in the NHL, and they don't have much use for Howden, bc they have a lot of C's as well, but I'd take that trade in a heartbeat before NYR reconsiders lol, the value is just way too good to pass up on

The Anaheim trade is bad for the Ducks because Eaves is not a minus -- we can bury him in San Diego or put him on the IR just like you. We don't need another LhD prospect and Howden is no better than Steel, Lundestrom, Groulx, Morand or particularly Zegras, and almost certainly worse than at least four of them. Moreover, Smith's contract is both more expensive and a year longer than Eaves'. The only way I see us taking Smith off your hands is for a second in exchange for a fifth or sixth. Sorry.
