I don't think Carolina would do this. Maatta is good but he's a bottom pairing D ... don't know enough about Suzuki but i've heard he's pretty good. But for Slavin, i don't think a 3rd makes the difference. Carolina is trying to win now anyway. I wouldn't expect Suzuki to play right away. If Carolina's moving Slavin, DeBrincat would probably have to be coming back IMO. Even in value, though, i think Slavin is worth more than that. I think he's a top 10 d-man in the NHL.

You are furthest from getting Slavin out of Carolina. You are looking at a DeBrincat, Boqvist, and a 1st for Slavin IMO.

thanks for the input, and not saying I would... but 40 goal-scorer (With potential for 50 IMO) would be fair value for Slavin.

Carolina reject this in seconds, Jaccob Slavin is a top 10 D man. An offer here either starts with DeBrincat or Boqvist. It would have to include some other pieces too, because S;avin is just that good. I understand that you may want to disagree saying "oh Canes fan boosting his players value" This guy legitimatly pulled like 50 pucks off the goal line throughout the course of the season and then had 11 points in the playoffs, just shy of Pietrangelo who broke they record among D man. He is far superior to the value that you are trading for him here

Read this bottom one^ and check Top 10 he is in the argument for Top 5. Defense is underrated in this League. Slavin is the best Defensive Defenseman in this League hands down. You can argue that oh DeBrincat scores 40 points, Boqvist is going to be the best, and the 1st is really high. Put a condition on the pick as top 10. When Carolina is in win now mode, you want their best Defenseman of course you will have to overpay to get him. As far as I have heard Slavin is actually untouchable. So is it really hard to believe that that would be the asking price???

Don’t take this as a joke but you really f*cking underrated Slavin. He is on another level. Top 5 defenseman imo because he has done so much to keep Carolina in it throughout a year.
