GMJR somehow has to move JJ, Gudbranson and Hornqvist to free up $12+ mil of cap for future signings.

Schultz contract: (7 years x $6.5m) I think Pens should offer 7-8 years and bring the AAV down as much as possible. Keeping Schultz is crucial for our top-four. We'd have a huge hole by losing him.

Murray extensions (8 years x $8m) With no other goalies in the pipeline (Jarry probably traded). Locking him up at 8 years for $8 mil would be amazing. Murray is going to be the guy for years to come.

Galchenyuk: (6 years x $6m) A young and gifted talent. If he pots 25-30 with Malkin, signing him 6 years x $6m is ideal. He isn't good defensively but he possesses the raw talent to score a lot of goals at NHL level. Hopefully his play does elevate and he earns this extension.

McCann: Bridge deal. (2 years x $2.75m) Should put up close to 40 points. Whether GMJR has long term plans with him is unknown.

Kahun: I think he shows more flashes of talent and hits 45-50 pts with time on Sid's line.
a 2 year bridge deal with a $3m AAV is ideal.

Simon: A useful possession driven forward who can slot on any line. 1-1.25m for 1-2 years is ideal here. Hard to predict how many points he'll get considering he's most likely the odd man out when the entire team is healthy.
