He’s not good enough in the regular season. It’s like Logan Couture, if he was as good in the regular season as he was in the playoffs he’d be one of the best in the game

Nope. Think about how good he was last year. Despite that he was 29th in GSAA and 31st in QS%. I am a staunch Rask supporter. But he is in the 10-15 range at best.

Did you see my avatar?

He always has good GAA and Save%. But the rest of the metrics paint a different picture. He has played for a very sound defensive team for years. The backups have put up very good numbers as well. He is streaky. And he tends to come up short in big games.

Playoffs yes, obviously. But there’s more of a sample size to go off of in the regular season

maintaining a 0.918 save percentage over 3 years against 6000 shots is bad. coolio

Look at the Top 10 in GAA and SV% over the past 4 years, you won't see Freddy Andersen anywhere. Honestly, he was better when he was in Anaheim

yeah most goalies are usually better they don't play 75% of the season and don't face 2000 shots a year. fortunately for the leafs, andersen does both of those.
