I don’t think we are looking for a defenseman back for him
The need for us is a goal scoring winger

Ehhh I would consider that. Risto is a little younger and brings more size. Ghost is still only 26 and has had seasons where he looks absolutely incredible. I think I'd hold on to him, especially since he had a down year last year and usually has an up year after, and see what he can do with the new coaching staff and a more stable d partner. That lineup though... pump the breaks on the Frost train, he will play 3rd line IF he even makes the team. Coots on the 2nd line?

I like Risto as a RHD defenseman. Let's face facts here, Ghost is a LHD and he's behind Sanheim and Provorov on the depth chart. If he can be moved for a RHD at a comparable salary rate it's worthwhile. Risto could and should be much better next to Provorov or Sanheim along with the structured defense the Flyers will be playing with solid 2 way forwards and Hart in goal.

As for the lineup, too much is made about what line a player is on. If Frost plays 12 minutes a game up with Giroux and whoever the center is then while he may be playing first line he's still getting 3rd line minutes. I really just don't want Frost with Patrick. I made possible trios. The coaches need to decide best deployment from there. Holding a lead I could see Frost and Patrick seeing less ice while Laughton and Raffl eat up more minutes.
