struggling = 3rd highest goal scoring player before the age of 21 in NHL History who suffered a back injury in December last year.

Yes, you were wrong on your struggling comment, so you tried to be funny and call me on a missed period to separate the comment. I am sure you knew exactly what i was saying, or maybe that is your capacity and you couldn't figure it out.

Probably Connor and a pick if anything. Hard to compare a great centre and a generational goal scorer who only has one current comparison in Ovechkin. Easier to acquire a top centre, which is never easy to begin with, so that says something about a player like Laine.

If you actually watched games you would have seen a massive improvement in his defensive game.

Not a problem I never meant it as disrespect. But its improvements that you see when following a team or players, ones that don't show on the score sheet.

Yes, I kinda blanked but I do remember him going down to the third line because of that. I also forgot that he was back up and playing well by the end of the season.

Yeah he did and that is a smart move by coaches these days to match up a higher skilled player in a slump with lower quality opponents to get them going. We see it now more than ever that it is not necessarily a punishment as much as it is to light a fire and give them a confidence boost to get back to form.

It's always a good young players also, tests there skills as well as there morale and ability to bounce back, while not hurting there development.

Exactly, especially so early in their careers as well you never want to take away anything from their development as they still need time to adjust and mold into the players they have the potential to be.
