Description

Everyone is going to throw a fit over Nylander, but do you really think Bowman trades Jokiharju straight up just to send a guy to Rockford when they want to win now?

I don't know where he belongs in this lineup but if Boqvist makes a big push out of camp maybe Gustafsson becomes expendable to get an instant impact forward?

Other call ups throughout the year: Wedin, Sikura, Quenneville, Beaudin, Koekoek, Entwistle, Kurashev, maybe Soderlund but probably not. This team has good depth right now, will be interesting to see where everyone lands.

Obviously not a huge chance Dach makes the opening night roster but he is making a good case for himself.

Perlini is a wildcard as well.

I don't think everyone will have a "fit" over Nylander being on the top line...I just don't think anyone believes he's EARNED that privilege. We'll see. If he's successful there...I'm all for it, but there are a TON of options there are if Nylander doesn't immediately produce then I'm in favor of a quick switch.

Absolutely agree, he has the high end skill to at least get a shot but I definitely like the other options as well.

Agree; based on what Nylander has shown in 3 years, better options are Shaw, Saad, Sikura, Perlini, Kubalik. Nylander goes to the AHL and will have to earn his place on this roster just like anyone else. He will get a good look during the preseason, but it's up to him how many NHL games he plays. I'm betting the over under is 25.
