Kulikov Buyout Pipe Dream

Created by: Thunderbird838
Team: 2019-20 Winnipeg Jets
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 12, 2019
Published: Aug. 12, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Please be kind in the comments.
Montreal Trade: Winnipeg Clears Cap, Montreal Doesn’t give up much for a Forward who can play both Center and Wing.
Columbus Trade: Murray Has Hefty Contract, Nash might be expendable after last seasons atrocity of a showing. Little can fit in the top 6 and is locked up for another 5 years.
Nashville Trade: I know it’s Rare for teams to make trades within the division but Nashville has too much Center Depth Winnipeg needs a second line Center that’s on Contract for the foreseeable future. Nash can play Wing if needed and it doesn’t hurt to have extra draft picks that can be used to make other deals or draft potential steals.
Winnipeg Offers Derrick Brassard a PTO he impresses and is offered a one year team friendly $2M deal.
Samberg Signs his Rookie Deal.

Do we really think Turris is better then Little?

Yeah I’m not sure. I like it for Winnipeg, but I don’t think Nashville will retain a single dollar on Turris if they move him

MTL is full right now, the prospects are already gonna have to beat vets for spots in the lineup.

Trading for another bottom 6 player doesn't make sense no matter how low the cost to acquire is.

We'd actually want better than that for Murray. Saying he has a "hefty contract" is silly - he's top-pairing when he's healthy. Little has taken a step back the last few years, so him being locked up long term is not necessarily a good thing.

Turris is better then Little IMO, but his contact isnt. I dont see Nashville helping the jets out in this deal or vice versa.

C depth looks good for the jets. Just not too sure if it is feasible.

I don't think he is, they're about even imo, Little gets put on a line that just doesn't work and he struggles for it as much as his linemates do.

If the Jets had a better coach who'd find lines that work ya gotta wonder how different last season might of went.

Little has been given the chance to play with Laine and Ehlers and it doesnt work for some reason. The jets are stacked at W, but they dont seem to fit what Little does. I wish Little signed a deal around 4 mill so he could be the ideal 3C with PK and PP time, but his contract makes him a top 6 F in the public eye. I dont get why he hasnt been reunited with WHeeler for times over the last 2 years? Scheifle and Wheeler are an elite combo but Little put up good numbers with Ladd and Wheeler for years before Scheifle came into his own
