My list of the top 10 forwards to play since 2005/06 season. its too hard to compare a guy like Lidstrom to McDavid so I'm just sticking with forwards. my rankings would be:
Crosby hands down. 100 points, Great defensively. most complete player in the game.
I think Kucherov is better now though. Seriously, 128 points. That's crazy. In the current NHL 128 points is an absolutely amazing year. And he is going to get 100+ points consistently IMO ... 2 straight 100 point seasons.

He’s not as complete. He doesn’t play a 200 foot game like Sid. No denying kucherov is amazing but he’s not better than Sid.

Sid is better defensively but Kuch is better offensively and while Sid can change a game, Kucherov is a game-changer, and i'd argue more of a game-changer than Sid.

To each their own. I think most people would take Sid over kucherov
Let me guess, is it because he's a centre and Kucherov is a winger?
He literally just explained it. It's because Crosby is a much better defensive and more rounded player than Kucherov. I would take Crosby over Kucherov also.

But 128 points? I know it's not all about points but it's not all about defensive play, either.

Yes, but it's not like Crosby is drastically worse offensively than Kucherov. The gap between the two's defensive play is much wider than the gap in offensive talent. Also last season, Crosby's top 3 linemates were Guentzel, Rust, and Simon, whereas Kucherov's top 3 were Point, Johnson, and Stamkos. Kucherov played with much better players than Crosby.

Exactly. Kucherov was on one of the best regular season teams in NHL history
