Risto is a liability. Vegas doesn’t want to take on that cap for a player whom really hasn’t done anything that would help Vegas.

Whatever value Risto had was lowered even more when it came out he asked for a trade. No way Vegas trades Tuch for him straight up.

Tuch is a fantastic player on a sweetheart deal. Highly unlikely that they move him.

Sens want to save actual money spent so they don't care about getting a "usable player" they want someone that gets paid out through insurance. Also calling Sobotka is a Stretch Armstrong level stretch.

No chance. No Vegas fan posted this trade. Sabres fans probably did.

Vegas gives up Miller for picks and trades Tuch for a far inferior defenseman...

lol. Reinhart>>>>Tuch. That being said this trade is a joke. Risto is not coming close to providing the same value as tuch.

Reinhart is better offensively but tuch is a better all around player....like comparing bread man to stone....

This is awful

Tuch is much more important. He is young, can do all, only $4,75M cap hit and reason #1 you're not getting him: They are not trading him

Erroneous. Reinhart is a better all around player. He's Bergeron extra lite. Reinhart's offensive numbers don't jump off the page for a former #2 overall pick but his hockey smarts are off the charts at all ends of the ice. Tuch is awesome and by no means am I trying to diminish his talent or impact but Reinhart is the better player and the analytics back it up.

From outsiders, sure. But from those of us who understand the situation, he wouldn't be.

He has played behind the worst offense in hockey for years, in front of atrocious goaltending, and surrounded by the worst group of defensemen in the league since he was a rookie. He's never had an even average partner to play with either. Put him on a good team, with a decent partner, and he would flourish.

It's comical how people just look at stats, and don't take any of the real factors into account.

I said analytics. The fact that you used +/- in your argument tells me everything I need to know about how you evaluate players. Tuch is a great player, this is true. That being said he is not better then Reinhart. Lets just agree to disagree.

Haha I mentioned plus minus. I threw out 6 stats that support my arguement and you ignored those and went with plus minus. That’s all I need to know about you....but seriously next time actually look up stats and don’t talk out of your azs. Bc I hate wasting my time proving people like you wrong. Jk I love it. wink have a good day

Again, they are both great players. I just would never use +/- in any arguments. In my opinion its an antiquated stat that causes a misunderstanding of a players impact generally.

And honestly you didn't prove me wrong either. If we just base it off of points like you Reinhart would be more valuable:

Samson: 331 GP, 205 points for .62 ppg
Tuch: 158 GP 89 points for .56 ppg

I think this shows that the players are very close but Samson has a slight edge over Tuch. Both players taken in the 2014 draft so to this point, Sam has had a better career.

Also I really want to emphasize I LOVE Tuch's game. He's going to be a phenomenal player for Vegas for years to come.

And if you have any interest in advance stats I encourage you to read this article:

My major point is that reinhart and tuch are as close as you can get to equals and if you consider Reinhardt better it can’t possibly be by a large margin. So if Vegas were to move tuch who’s on an amazing contract for a player it would need to be a guy of reinhart caliber
