Yeah but if DeSmith and Jarry are your goalies, expect to be in the running for Lafrenier

I don't think DeSmith is much of a step back from Murray at this point....Murray is good, don't get me wrong, but he isn't THAT good. He has zero glove and the book is out on him..sure he played well in the 2nd half of the year, but unless he can prove that he is the same goalie for an entire season, I'm not yet sold on him. I was not a MAF fan-boy either, thought that was the right move...but Murray hasn't shown me yet that he is a true lock down all star caliber goalie.

My other thought, is just make the move and put Letang on the wing LOL! It's not that crazy of an idea, and he basically played wing in the playoffs...except now, he wouldn't have to rush to try to get back into position.

DeSmith at best is a backup and nothing more. And that’s being generous. He would get destroyed being the full time goalie and Jarry just isn’t quite ready to take on the starter role. Heck last year when DeSmith got more time after Murray got “hurt”, he struggled after the first few games.
As for Letang, I agree 100%. Wouldn’t mind Letang getting put on wing. Hell if he still wants to play 25+ minutes, just roll with 11 forwards and 7 D and Tang could play 1st and 4th line RW while balancing out the D minutes lol.
