I can't see OTT doing this. A.) Colin white can be had for a cheaper contract than Saad. B.) Saad gets paid MORE than his cap hit over the next 2 years. The value of the trade is probably irrelevant to Melnyk so I don't think it matters either.

Why on earth would Ottawa do this? White's our Best centre, and he's only 22. He's going to be a great 2C for a long time.

Besides, Thomas Chabot would be pissed if they traded his twin.
