We dont need RHD back. Also, it looks like sabres will not be able to get top 6 center for him. And with this trade it will make player like McCabe expendable at the deadline. McCabe should have very good value at trade deadline to a playoff team looking for top 4 help. Also, if we can eat salary on hunwick, bogo, scandella they can all be flipped for picks/ prospects at deadline.

I think there is a market for Risto where the Sabres get a decent haul back, but I dont think it's tampa and I dont see Sergachev leaving especially while on his ELC.
I also think Sheary has value and could be good on a team looking to add a winger to their top 6.

Well, Palat would be much better defenseman than Risto lmao.

Btw Palat does not play on 3rd/4th line and is very solid two-way wing when healthy. You know nothing...

tampa signed Shattenkirk for a reason, there is 0 interest for them now for Risto. Not hard to see that there is no fit bw the teams and no way would Risto get you a guy like Serg
