And even though Ristolainen is " bad ", BUF will value him higher. Faksa is a good defensive C but they need 2C...

I'd do Risto, Girgs for Faksa, Gurianov and a middle pick. I don't feel that's too ridiculous of a counter-offer. I wouldn't mind picking up a good 3C, boom/bust B prospect and a third for the two of them, if I had to trade Risto now. Otherwise I'm thinking Buffalo should hold onto him until the deadline.

Stars aren't trading Faksa AND Gurianov. Gurianov isn't a "B Prospect" either.

If you're looking for a B-Level prospect, you're going to be looking at forwards like Oskar Back, Riley Damiani, and Adam Mascherin. Gurianov is currently ranked as the Stars 4th best prospect, and really he's the only prospect in their prospect pool that will likely make an impact THIS season. With the Stars still having some questions about who will be play LW in their top-6 (behind Benn), they can't afford to lose a guy that could not only slot into the top-6 this season, but could be a top-6 winger for years in this league.

Personally, I wouldn't trade for Ristolainen. He is vastly overrated, and I would rather keep our players/prospects & pair Stephen Johns with him than overpay in a trade for Ristolainen.

Yeah fair enough. All I've heard about Gurianov is that he's risky and still not a lock to be a productive NHL'er, so it's good to hear to input from someone who watches regularly. Ristolainen is certainly a divisive figure so it's gonna have to line up really well for a team to trade "fairly" for him. His valuation is just all over the place (and both sides have good reasons). Cheers!
