Lol no way.
Calgary, Vegas and Arizona/Vancouver will make it. SJ will finish in the lottery and give us the pick wink

Losing Pavelski, Thorton (maybe not but still) and Nyquist won't hurt you ?

And Donskoi. And having Jones in net still. SJ is an easy contender to miss the yoffs

Especially if Karlsson isn't healthy or gets injured again. This team could be 10th-20th in GF and 22-27 in GA. That's not good enough to make the playoffs

Also, Meier and Labanc had career years. What if they take a step back with a bit less talent around them.

Hate to break it out to you but Ari had 86 points and are only getting better. Let's say they are not as injured as last year (one of the top injured team), they are now to what ? 96 points ? Keller gets out of his ''slump'' it's not a 100 points. Sharks had 101 with a better team last year. What makes you think SJ will make more than a 100 pts ?

CGY won't change
VGK neither
VAN is getting better

DAL, STL, WPG, NAS. COL are all better too

yup. Also, can't see CHI do worse than last year. IMO, the fight will be between : DAL, CHI, SJ for the last spot. DAL will get it

I don’t know if you realize but San Jose has the best d man in the league who was injured last year back this year. As long as Karlsson, Meier and Labanc can help replace Pavelskis goals we are fine.

Karlsson will miss games this year again sorry bro. Labanc and Meier were there last year too. Can't argue that SJ is worse than last year, we all know it. My point here is that other teams improved.

Im a Sens fan and I know all about your defense. I remember that game where Vegas scored 3 goals in the first 5 mins and I was like that defense cant stop a fast team and you cant trust Jones. And these guys are all getting older, cant see them stopping any fast skilled team. That defense is great on the offensive side but on the defensive side, not so much. Also, I watched Karlsson last year and he didn't look the same at all in any game

This is a funny post. SJ did lose Pavelski. However Donskoi didn't score a goal for multiple months and was a healthy scratch (though he's fun to watch and I think he'll do well in COL). Jumbo is coming back supposedly. Nyquist was only there for the rental.

The real missing piece is Pavelskis leadership/points. However, with Pavelski gone, they're not as slow up front.

This team also gave up a goal in the first 5 minutes of a period 50+ times this year. Hard to see that happening again.

They lost goals/points for sure, but I think they can replace some of that with internal adjustments and prospects. Plus, I think they'll be far better defensively this year.

So, Karlsson and Burns are getting better defensively at this stage in their careers? And Jones trained hard this summer on his mental toughness and bouncing pucks?
