Question is when do you trade Domingue? .. there is logic to wait to trade deadline if Cap allows it after Point signing .. I would wait until a. Another teams goalie injury b. When another team realizes their goalies suck 10 games in or c. At trade deadline .. arguably the highest value.. as long as Cup allows .. I dont see rush as Domingue has value as I look at other teams goalies .. lot are just plain bad

Paying Point over 8 creates cap hell next year. Even at 8 Bolts will have to make several big cuts.

We probably have to waive Domingue or McElhinney when the season starts to fit under the cap without performance overages, and if not then, we would if/when we want to do something with that roster spot. It’s possible, if Point signs low enough and we never end up needing the 23rd roster spot, to keep all three, and then we could rest Vasilevskiy more than usual so he’s ready for the playoffs. But you never know when you’ll need the extra spot, and if we waive Domingue, we get nothing.
