Not saying I agreed that Jokiharu should have left, I was extremely against the trade, but if they were going to trade one of their future star d-men, this should have been the deal.

Pretty sure MTL wasn't the top suitor for Joki & that trade wasn't on the table.

Hindsight is always 20/20. The biggest part of this...is the assumption Stan would have known Caufield would drop to #15. Caufield was the steal of the 1st round.

This would have been a terrible move..

You can’t have THAT many small players in your top 6 and still be effective.

Stan, come on man, you and I both know those teams Dale Tallon and you only slightly retooled were built on SPEED. Sure there was grit where it counted, but nobody was gonna call us a brick and mortar team. Sure you can win that many small players! Besides, Toews and Strome are bigger guys. Since you stuck with Kirby Dach. he's huge. All seriousness, size isn't the concern, it's been able to play with speed and retaining strong puck possession. Every team that played the Blues in the playoffs this year made that mistake. Each team tried to play the Blues' game, not their own. So come on Stan, we need you to make our team fast again, not a bunch of muscly brutes. Grit counts in the bottom six, like it did for us in the past. Leave the top six to guys who can actually skate and score. Is it too late to trade Dach for Turcotte?

The Hawks won't have to sign him right away, size doesn't seem to make a difference with Caufield since he proved himself to be an amazing goal scorer
