Description
I don't necessarily want Laine, but just thought I would consider what it would take to get him. And top-6 winger is one of our needs right now.

Interesting, I don’t know what his value is but this is certainly a fun concept.

This Laine deal is not bad. I think Mikkola is going to be in the roster at the start of the season.

Giving up a little too much for Laine, who is verging on one-dimensional. It's a helluva dimension, but still.

Due to our depth, we’re still very much in tact in all areas. Who needs Kyrou when you have Laine? Barbashev deserves a chance at the middle-6 too. Schenn should not be a part of our future plans.

Maybe downgrade the pick since WPG actually needs this depth, but I think it’s pretty much even.

Like I said, I’m not even really interested in Laine, just playing around with the possibility of it.

Like others above, I tip the cap on your idea. If it were an actual concept being bantered about though, my primary question would be how much hair would Berube lose watching Laine play defense?
