Valuewise probably but I doubt Kapanen would be moved after he signed that contract. I think honestly you have better chance at getting Marner.

I'm not disputing the value of this trade only suggesting that Dubas would counter with Nurse, as I think he would be his top target from Edmonton.

He's going to have to do a lot better than Kapanen if he wants to talk about Nurse.

Not really, Nurse is a good #3 d but he's a left shot and needs a new contract after this year... Whereas Kap is a signed up for 2 more years after this one to an affordable contract and fills a greater need for Edmonton. This isn't to say that Nurse has no value to TOR as we could slide Dermott over to the right side. Was more just making a point that Dubas went after Nurse hard this offseason which has more to do with both of them coming from the greyhounds than anything.
