For this trade I'm assuming the Habs are able to negotiate with Laine on a contract before the trade (sign and trade).

Also comparing my trade to if MTL offer sheeted at that term and cap hit.

I didn't like throwing him in there, but I think we need a higher end prospect in there to make WPG accept.

Laine is good and Habs could use him,but i would wait till after Seattle expansion draft before doing something big ,give the young kids a chance see where they are at

People never stop saying that Price's window for a cup is right now but keep trading away the guy that may extend that window or just replace him down the line. Stop trading away Cayden!!! He's right now our only prospect with legit starting goalie potential, that could pan out like Rinne and Saros tandem with an aging goalie being relieved of some load slowly year in year out.

If we get Laine, only one thing i'm sure : he would play with our best passer, so Domi or KK

but not Danault or Gally
