dont hate the buy low reclaim projects like that, he either helps the team or im sure he just goes back to russia if he has to play in the AHL

Dallas bought out Nichushkin's contract so that they could re-sign Polak. Dallas was stupid. Don't be like Dallas.

A few thoughts....I wonder if he doesnt make the team he just goes plays in Russia instead of the Eagles. Also think is a clear sign that the Avs do not care for Greer much anymore if they are willing to subject him to waivers.

I dont hate the move, its interesting as long as it doesnt mean this is their fall back plan bc someone like Nieto or Wilson is injured from the offseason and might not be ready for camp

seems like hes pretty sound defensively and doesnt take penalties, big body who can skate. There are some nice parts of his game I wonder what they would have planned for him

For sure he'd go back to Russia, I'm guessing it's going to depend on the opportunity he gets in camp, it's most likely a stop gap because kaut needs another year in the ahl. I'm assuming if jost falls back down to 3rd or 4th C then burakovsky moves to Lw on line 2... bura-kadri-compher/nish/donskoi
