Oops. You forgot to add Montreal's 2020 1st round pick to that Laine trade.

Oddly enough that's what Winnipeg will say when you call with this offer.

If Chevy can't get a better offer, what he'll do ? Accept this trade or just leaving Laine playing Fortnite back in Finland ?

In 2-3 years, Montreal will be better with Drouin + Suzuki + Juulsen than with only Laine

I think if you have to choose between Brook or Juulsen , Ylonen or Suzuki , Laine or Drouin.. you take Laine to win right now and long term

Yeah no. A laine trade stars with Caufield or Kotka.

I agree with you except for one thing : huge lack of size
Domi, Drouin, Caufield, Suzuki : We can't have those as our top 4 wingers in 2-3 years and be any good in playoffs, the way referees operate in playoffs
Do you keep Gallagher , Tatar ???

Drouin linemates have to be 2 (or at least 1) bigger guys : ex KK and Poelhing
    Same for Caufield.

Look at Johnny Goudreau. Plays with Tkachuk. Who did they put with Pacioretty. Stone and Statsny.

That's why I 'd go for Laine. Wanted Stone and i'm sure Bergevin tried, but didn't work

I mean you can’t ask for their best player and make none of your valuable guys available. That’s common knowledge. Would you sell a 2020 corvette for $10k?

If i have to choose... i keep Brook, Juulsen, Ylonen, Suzuki, Drouin
Juulsen has everything to become a mobile and physical defender with good puck skills.
Suzuki could develop as well as Marner... don’t touch this !!
Not the time to trade Drouin. Only in Mtl his value is still high.

Alright that’s a bit different. Scheifele is probably worth more since he’s a natural centerman. Best player doesn’t always mean most valuable.

For instance, Pastrnak is Boston’s most skilled player, but McAvoy would probably be the hardest to trade for
