Very good cap hit for a 4th liner (potential 3rd liner)
Term is excellent. Good contract

Him and Strome. Man those were the days. I bet they could trade him to us for RNH one for one

Everyone involved in drafting him should have been fired. From the scouts on up. Including the owner.

Remember when the Islanders didn't screw up a top 10 pick? Reinhart, Strome, DiPietro, Dal Colle, etc...Not even the Islanders could screw up Tavares (at least until, you know, they lost him for nothing).

Ok contract, but sheeshh… First rounder 5th overall. Damn what a waste. I feel you Isles fans. Still a better pick than Louis Leblanc though tears of joy

Dont forget they drafted Nino Niederreiter 5th overall and got 3 points in 64 games for them lol

Um...they have? And the owner who drafted him died. I know this is the internet where sarcasm and hyperbole reign supreme, but that might be a bit harsh?

Yes, Dal Colle is not a game breaking player, which you'd like to get picking so high, but he looked like he belonged in the NHL this year. That's something.

Trading $ for the one way and term. Likely a good choice for the player and the team as he's a cheap fourth line option now if they choose to move on from Martin and/or LTIR Ladd.

Still young and a low cap hit! Good signing but he really needs to improve his game to the NHL level. If not, then it'll probably be the last time we're gonna hear of him
