FORWARDS :

**- Yah, Yah I kno... I thought Gally was going to be paired w/ Geno on day 1 too. But what "IF" he does play w/ GOAT87 & The Great Snake59
The more I watch & breakdown Gally's game, This is what I come up w/ -
1) He is def a RWer bc almost every shot or goal is from the Right side.
2) He is very very good on the rush, can make a perfect pass, can take a pass on rush & shoot from any angle.
3) Goes to the net WAY more than I thought.
4) Has the speed to play w/ Sid
5) Sid loves skillfull give & go type wingers like Simon - Gally is Simon x's 150.

**- PLUS this opens up the possibility to move McCann-Can to Geno's wing and also move Bugstad back to his much better position of RW.
Where 27 can concentrate on scoring, rather than being the shut-down 3rd line C but also he could take some of the face-offs from Geno too.
IMO, a 2nd line of 19-71-27 would be dangerous AF.

**- I'm a big fan of Zacha but after a down year (from playing w/ bad wingers) & NJ having all those young C's. I'd love to get this former #6 overall
pick. Then to pair him w/ a healthy Horny (who just killed it in Worlds) and the young Kahun (I still dont get why CHI traded him, lol) would make a very good 3rd line.

**- The 4th Line - Blueger finally gets his chance at being the 4C w/ Tanev & Simon gives us a line that is a pain in the arse to play against,
can play D, can play in Off zone, & maybe even score here & there.

**- Extras
ZAR - needs to stay healthy but can play on any line & a good PK guy & Hawryluk is a solid young winger that goes 100mph always

WBS - Coming or could help ??
- Signed Haley - so we dont get beat up all the time, lol
- O. Palve - How does he adjust to smaller rink?
- A. Johnson - Fast AF but can he be a NHLer?
- LW- Bjorkqvist , C- Lafferty, LW- Miletic, LW- Bellerive, RW- Angello - Do any of them make a push for NHL time ???
_________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

DEFENSE :

**- 1st Pair - Dumo / Letang - one of the best top pairings in NHL (need to not kill them w/ TOI tho, like last yr)

**- 2nd Pair - Hutton / Schultz - After being injured most of last yr, I think Schultzy has a great yr. (As long as JJ is gone). I still have no clue how
Hutton is still not signed? I think he would be a great guy to pair w/ 4. He has decent size, can skate good, and can move the puck fast.

**- 3rd Pair - Petersson / Guddy - They played great together - why break it up?

**- EXTRAS - Ruhwedel is a perfect #7 guy / Riikola can play both sides, played great early but play fell off last yr.

GOALIES :

- STARTER - Murray - 25 yrs old - 2 Cups / Basically got us into playoffs by himself the last 20 games.

BACKUP's -
DeSmith - Did a hell of a job last yr & cheap
Jarry - Pens are very confident he will clear waivers & be in WBS - I pray they are right.

Trades
1.
PIT
  1. Hawryluk, Jayce
Additional Details:
Hawryluk is a former 2nd Rdr but is strictly a 4th liner to depth guy / agitator type player. Hawryluk has good hockey sense just not the top-end skill.
FLA
  1. Johnson, Jack
  2. 2020 3rd round pick (PIT)
Additional Details:
Flordia only has Yandle & Matheson on the left side w/ McCoshen a former 2nd rdr, who hasnt shown much.

- 3rd Rdr is for taking contract for 2 more yrs until Expansion draft.
2.
PIT
  1. Zacha, Pavel [RFA Rights]
Additional Details:
IMO, Zacha would be a great 3rd line Center here. The kid is a tough dude, will grind to win puck battles, is solid defensively for his age, and goes to the front of the net.
NJD
  1. Rust, Bryan
Additional Details:
Rusty would be a tough lose but to get a young 3rd line C and create cap room for a D-man, this is a must.

I like it, I'd be prepared to swap ZAR and Horny though, and you'll have to give up more than a third for FLA to take JJ bc they have to take him for two years (costs a probably more than a third) then have to pay SEA the same to take him for the last two years, you can't just tell the expansion team, take my bad contract or you don't get a player, it doesn't work like that lol

As a Habs fan Chucky is def a RW, coaches don’t see that for some reason.

This team can not go into the season with Hutton as the 2nd pairing. If you think JJ was bad, that would be even worse. At least JJ dished out like 230+ hits. Hutton won't do a damn thing.

Ive been a big ZAR supporter but he has to stay healthy. Plus he plays like a 2nd liner for 2 games then he disappears for 8 games?? Also he was very very bad at end of season and in playoffs, IDK if he came back from the last injury too soon last yr or what but he was a mess.

Yah the more i watch of him... the more i see every good play is on the right side.... but im kind of excited for him to play here this yr. Its just nice to have some younger talent here in Pgh and think he will do better than most think he will.

At least Hutton can move the puck out of own zone... I do agree that I like how JJ can box out and play physical, but he is scary bad at getting puck out of zone and that was one of our biggest issues last yr.

no he can't. he sucks.
JJ job was never to move the puck. He was suppose to be paired with Schultz to do that, but well you seen how that went down. He never came back after the break right. But who really expected him, it takes time to heal properly and get back into it.

IDK, I always thought Hutton was solid... Hes just asking for too much $$ rite now. But I also think that Schultzy will bounce back this yr now that he will be healthy too.
