I actually really like that Hall Trade. This team could rival Tampa for being the best on paper. Nice work

The trades are fine for me value wise, though I don't like the thought of losing Zads, and I doubt the Avs would be too keen on no first or second next draft for a rental even if it is Hall. I doubt Byram will be in the line up (other than 9 and down), and Girardi is probably only a cover D at this point as Timmins is likely to be in his spot if he's over the concussion issues. So the left side D is significantly weakened, I'd say Connauton, Graves or Rosen would be there and I'd favour Graves from the little we saw of him last season. Barberio you have to shift somewhere for a bag of pucks. Certainly not going to be able to sign Hall AND Toffoli the following year so at least one of those is a pure rental, I'm sure that's what you meant above though. I wouldn't switch Landy off the first line though. Yes Hall is a bigger points man but Landy does all the dirty work for that top line. He's a bull and does all the corner work, hitting, in front of the net, and with two skill players like MacK and Rants you really need a gritty player on the line. Plus the chemistry is already there. Hall could help drive the second unit and make both lines more dangerous. You've got Rants a bit high for me. Personally I think 8.75 to 9 is the right range but you could be right. On the D the Girard and Makar pairing isn't going to be a regular thing. It'll happen on the PP a fair bit I would think but not so much 5 on 5. Guessing it would be EJ & Sam, Zads or Cole with Makar (once Cole returns from injury) and then Graves/Connauton/Rosen with Timmins (or Cole with Timmins if Zads is with Makar, once Cole is back). At this point TBH I'd rather send Jost or Kaut or even Newhook than Zads but that's just me, I'm sure a lot of fans would disagree.
