Even if his skating is wearing down I would wager his hands are still elite.

How exactly do you convince him to leave his friends and family at home to come play 1 year for the biggest laughing stock franchise not named Ottawa

Would it be that hard to convince someone to play on a line with the best player in the world and a 50 goal scorer?

He’s 41, already won 2 cups with Detroit, made a ton of money in his career, and is living a perfectly a happy and settled life with his family back in Russia. Not to mention he’s already under contract with his KHL team this year.

So yes, it would still be pretty hard to convince him to drastically change his life and put unnecessary stress on himself to play for a team that is not winning next year.

Family matters aside it would be a lot easier to transition back as the KHL has less wear and tear. He's been relatively rested for some years now.

This is still more likely than any person in EDM explaining to JP he's not a top 6 winger on any team.

Who do you have over him? Gretzky, Lemieux, Orr and Howe are obvious but who else?

Pulju is a top 6 player in every sense except hockey IQ. He has all the psychical attributes but not the mental ones. If he puts it all together he’s easily a 30 goal scorer.

I think you got it backwards. He's clearly got the mental ones all in order. In his mind he's already playing in the all star game and handed the Hart. Then there is the reality of what happens on the ice with his actual physical skills.

laugh laugh Would never happen, Datsyuk said himself that if he comes back! It's Detroit or nothing. No way Datsyuk would sign with Edmonton.
