I beg to differ with the above comments, I doubt Betterall would give up that much to get an unsigned RFA. Maybe Ristolainen never felt the pressure to earn his top pairing status, now with Miller, Montour ahd Jokiharju maybe he will press himself harder to excel and become an all round defensemen.
Ristolainen may have faults but he can get 40 pts every year. BTW he is the age where many NHL current star defensemen put it all together and became superstars.
While Vesey is no Laine, he will get you 17 goals a year.
Olofsson looks as he could be a good 2nd line winger
and a first.
Two roster players, a prospect and a first. That is a decent offer for Laine.
