Great no risk move. If he reverts back to his consistent 40pt, 20 goal form the isles could be in business

Nice move from the Isles. Low risk signature. Brassard still has good hockey in him and he can take a good leader role for the young guys there.

Bargain price for a guy who can probably put up 30 points as a third line C with some PP2 time mixed in.

He has had ONE 20g season in his career, i'm not sure how "consistent" that is

still a decent signing though

I think an over/under of about 29.5 points is fair.

He might well improve on Filppula's 31 points (at 40% of the cost) and if he does, Lamoriello will have hit a home run.

Scored 20 twice, but also rattled off a 19g season, an 18g season, and a 17g season. Seems like he can be counted on for numbers in that range. Hell, even last season he rattled off 14 goals

Solid proof that even at a good age, not everyone should get a raise. $5M cut to $1.2M, only 24% of his prior contract.

Oh god, I thought I got over this trade... I was wrong. At least we stole Gustavsson from Pittsburgh for Brassard?

2015/16 season & 2017/18 season he scored more than 20 goals in a season. That would be two not one. Consistent player that is a 3rd line center.

1 year deal fairly low cost and great signing.

Hopefully he turns out to be the player he was before going to pittsburgh. Thats a good move by NY to sign a talented player still at a very good cap hit

And don't forget Bernard-Docker (indirectly, of course).
