I kind of agree but untouchable nobody is. For the right price montreal would listen i think. As a fan i want gallagher in montreal but he is on a great contract and in 2 year it will
Likely cost way more too keep him. But here the return isn’t enough to trade him. Maybe hanafin would interest bergevin but a 1st rounder for the 5 best goal Scorer of the 2010 draft

any deal for Gallagher starts with Lindholm and a 1st
Linholm didnt have a 50 point season until leaving CAR who plays a 3rd line Center as their top line Center until Aho broke out last year .
Lindholm goes to CGY and gets paired with one of the top 20 Centers in the league , top 10 under 25 IMO and breaks out

Gallagher is a two time 30 goal scorer playing with Plekanec in his retirement tour and Danault a 3rd year Center who is a #2/#3 Center similar to plekanec .
putting Gallagher with Monahan and Gaudreau is 40-50 goals for Gallagher as he'll be lighting up the Power Play with those 2 as they do every year .

give up Lindholm and a conditional 2nd that becomes a 1st if CGY makes the 2nd round lol
Gallagher can take them to a Cup with that offensive core leading CGY Flames in Goals like he does MTL
trading a 20 goal scorer for an Established 30 goal scorer who battles infront of the net who's just 2 years older then Lindholm
just has to high of an upside to ignore turning the Hamilton(26) and Ferland (27) deal return into Hanafin(22) and Gallagher (27)
they'd do that and only lose Adam Fox who was trade for 2nd to NYR and a conditional 2nd that becomes a 1st potentially if Gallagher succeeds post trade .
thats really cheap to get 4 years younger on defense while becoming more mobile as well as swapping a 20 year old 15-20 goal scorer for a 30 goal scorer top line RW

MTL gets Lindholm and ideal RW to help Kotkanemi jump to top line as he can provide faceoff support and playmaking for the young Center who could grow along side Domi who's the same age.
Domi-Kotkanemi-Lindholm gives MTL a top line to focus on and dull the sting of losing Gallagher .

Your crazy if you think gallagher is worth lindholm and a first rder. What makes you think he is worth more than lindholm alone!? Your basing it off "potential" and possibilities. Gallagher hasn't put up more than 55 points in a single season. I get lindholm only did last year and he is coming off a career year, but to say lindholm AND a 1st = Gallagher is insanity. I would take lindholm all day especially with his contract for the next 5 seasons. Would you say Montreal is in a rebuild stage right now or are they pushing to contend?

That's the price to pay for Gallagher bro. You are only looking at numbers, if you had Gallagher on your team, you'll say he's untradable. The guy is something
