Perlini trade

Created by: Logan03
Team: 2019-20 Chicago Blackhawks
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 22, 2019
Published: Aug. 22, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Gets oilers a decent winger, Chicago a good prospect, all tho I would say Chicago can’t change everyone’s career like they did with strome, they may get lucky with nylander and maybe Jesse p but those are the only players I would say Chicago got a chance to change the careers of, this trade also so much better than jokiharju for nylander. So fair or no?

Super over payment. Those two should be pretty even, maybe Hawks give up a 5th.

But if he turns out good we get a top 6 player and it is top 10 protected so nothin to lose, and if he don’t play good we get our first, seems fair and well balanced to me. Either way we get a top 6 or our first back

Now that the Hawks have a goalie, again, and the defense is a tiny bit older, the guy who gets 21 to 30 points each of the last three seasons is probably a better fit than the guy three years younger who gets between 8 to 20, each of the last three.

Yeah, this is a massive overpayment. In theory I'd be fine with a Perlini/Dahlstrom for Jesse trade, but I'm concerned that Kubalik would head to Europe then. Kubalik will have a much larger impact this year than Pool Party will. It's a tough call. I wouldn't entertain anything with a 1st or 2nd even conditionally tough...unless it's Jesse winning the hart trophy. Nothing reasonable though.

Do you think 1 player determines if we make the playoffs? C'mon

When tf did I say that? And it would for sure help if he got 50 damn points, that’s a big improvement from before and that would be much helpful to Chicago and there top 6.

You're saying the pick is top 10 protected which is only important if we miss the playoffs. That's all irrelevant. The bottom line is this is a gross overpayment and giving up a mid or late 1st round pick is a lot in any scenario.

But r u not understanding that the only way oilers get this late pick is if he gets 50 points, he is worth the first if he gets at least 50 and could still grow.
