You could get Carlo for some $100K less but yeah.

Problems reappear when Moore and Miller are cleared/activated from LTIR.

In this scenario Boston still has 3.6M worth of cap. Once Moore and Miller come off LTIR, if there is a team in injury trouble they might look to trade for one of them. Or Moore can be sent to the minors where his cap hit would be 1.675M. By sending him to the Minors the bruins would have enough cap space.

Moore would probably get claimed, he's still a good defender and losing him for nothing would be a bit annoying. Once Miller is healthy teams will definitely be calling for him, he's just a better Mcquaid

Agree with you 100%. But losing Moore for nothing is a much better scenario then overspending to get rid of Backes, or having McAvoy or Carlo hold out past the start of the season.

Speaking of Backes. He could also be sent down for about the same cap relief.

He is not wrong. I don't see Bruins placing Moore on waivers tho. And he's nothing more than " okay "; he can play as a top6 D but idk if his 4-year term will annoy the teams. Hope not.
