How much would Tampa pay to move Killorn at the draft

Created by: BeterChiarelli
Team: 2019-20 Edmonton Oilers
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 22, 2019
Published: Aug. 22, 2019
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
This assumes Tampa wins the Cup and Killorn is fine with finishing his deal elsewheres now that he's won.

I'd be looking at sending a package built around B-prospects Bear, Safin and/or Wells ideally; could Edmonton recoup a pick in this deal?
Trades
EDM
  1. Killorn, Alex
Additional Details:
Would the Bolts - due to cap pressure - need to add a pick in this deal? If so, how high?

That Killorn decides to waive for Edmonton "because he has won", defies all logic. The trade if possible, Oilers offer a 7th rounder and Tampa is happy to get 4.4m cap room.

Killorn is a solid third maybe second line player on a affordable 4.5 mill contract. He puts up 40 plus points kills penalties and never hurt. His ntc ends after this year. Due to cap they will move him for a fourth maybe third pick.

Killer has a bad contract but come on, a 7th is ridiculous.
He’s still a middle 6 forward

I think johnson will be the one sacrifice. I think killorn brings something different to the lightnings. Killorn ass a physical side that johnson will never brings and in playoff its always good. Here it’s only based on preference. And johnson would bring s better return i think

So true. That explanation in the description is total nonsense. No one is buying it.

In fact, Killorn waives this summer because every Edmonton build on here has a 26 year old rookie pencilled in on Connor McDavid's left wing, and Killorn is a 40 point NHL wing who believes he can win that spot with a little hard work and a little luck in training camp.

But getting him this summer, when the Lightning don't need the cap space, yet? That's going to cost Edmonton something. Maybe add Gagner, who has the same amount of offense, much less consistency, and only one year left before he turns into cap space on his own.

OK, the first thing Tampa has to how to hope for is this these NTC players, Killhorn, Johnson, Gourde and Palat have a team that actual would take them and there contracts. What kinda leverage does Tampa have in trying to negotiate a deal. Gee the Leafs had to give up a first to rid themselves of a one year 6.25m and 3m actual was outlay. IMO I think it's just unfounded optimism that Tampa can get those players to waive and Tampa will be giving up a sweetener if anything .
And Killorn to the Oilers. Really? Worse travel schedule in the league, a non playoff team, and not Tampa whether. I think I have better chance of being an Oiler than Killorn.

No his NTC doesn't end. He has 16 trade list. If I'm Killorn I load up with teams with have no cap space,,,,,which are many who have no cap room for him, since Tampa just wants no cap returned. Certainly not going to easy to move him at all. Few team have that cap space and the ones that do may not want to pay 4.4m fo a 3rd sometimes a 2nd line winger.
