Read the last line of this tweet. I think it’s a dead giveaway that Guerin was the one who lobbied hardcore for guys like Johnson and Gudbranson which has been an assumption I’ve had the entire he was the Pens AGM.

He’s young and fast and there’s people within the Leafs realm of capfriendly who believe he could get traded at some point in the season because Toronto will probably keep Freddy Gauthier as their 13th F to give Spezza nights off once in a while. I think he’d kill it with Sid and Guentzel and would be worth potentially taking a chance on him if he were to become available.

Pens have enough young fast players. They need to get older and slower. That's how St Louis won.

Rust is literally a top 6 player on the sharks if they don’t end up signing Thornton and at this point in the summer I have no idea what’s going on with him or Marleau.

Just because we dont have right wing depth doesnt give him extra value. Hes a 35 point player and the fact is a 35 point player can be had much cheaper than this deal

Yeah man idk...Sharks fans were suggesting this on here earlier in the summer and I thought it had legs but apparently that isn’t the case at all here.

Oh I dont think Rust to San Jose is a terrible idea, I just dont think Dillon should be going back in that deal when we could get more elsewhere for him.

I’d probably just take a draft pick of some sort and see if Gardiner would sign a 2 year deal around $4.75M to replace Dillon.
