Nothing will happen suspension wise or anything. League doesn't care about recreational drugs as long as it isn't tied to a crime like Stoll or Richards. I'm sure the league and team will say they are disappointed but nothing beyond that.

So many NHLers use recreational drugs. The difference is most don’t get caught haha.

There is nothing in the CBA that allows for a NHL suspension based on an IIHF test.

Cocaine is a schedule 2 drug different from weed (schedule 1).

Most likely voluntarily go into Stage 1 of NHL Substance abuse program (no penalty or anything) as a PR move. The league and team will say they are disappointed and working to support the player. That's likely it.

Exactly. Sure there are a handful of players on each team doing cocaine. Which is sad and I wish there was more of punishment, so these guys can clean up, but there isn't. Wouldn't be surprised if that changed.

Players are caught with cocaine in their system all the time by the NHL but it isn't against the rules so nothing happens. They just don't want to see PEDs or an excessive amount of a drug.

Hate to break it to you but testing positive for cocaine IS in fact tied to a crime, what with it being a controlled substance and all.

You know how many players test positive for cocaine in the league? It's on the rise. League doesn't give a damn unless it's a crap load of it that it's a health issue or if you're arrested for it. Neither case for Kuzey as of now.

There are many. Remember Ray Emery's death? There was a table full of cocaine on that ship during their "grill party" or whatever it was. MANY NHLers use cocaine and will continue to do so..

Exactly, it has to change at some point. Prolly won't be with a star player though seeming Patty Kane hasn't been suspended

NHL players all get drug tested ...... I’m sure the nhl is well aware what shows up in these tests. They only care about PEDS. You guys literally are making a deal out of nothing. Your favorite nhl player (insert name besides Crosby) does coke or drugs.

I don't necessarily agree with the last line of his statement though. He doesn't have to "win" me back, he just needs to play well lol. Maybe I'm biased because I named my dog after him...

The guy did a little coke...who cares? not the NHL obviously. But if he does have an issue the league and NHLPA have his back and will get him the right treatment. I couldnt imagine being a multi millionaire hockey stud and not dabbing into a little recreational powder. Remember when Wes Welker was on X (i think) at the Kentucky Derby?
