Description
It's a very good system.... making moves to let it marinate another year.

Trades
1.
LAK
  1. Condon, Mike
  2. 2020 2nd round pick (TBL)
Additional Details:
Weaponizing cap room. Condon doesn't see the light of day, but it does free up $1.3 million more for Tampa to sign Point. Think that worth moving up 2 rounds
TBL
  1. 2020 4th round pick (CGY)
2.
LAK
  1. Ratcliffe, Isaac
  2. 2020 4th round pick (NSH)
PHI
  1. Toffoli, Tyler
Additional Details:
Philly to menis a team on the cusp of something. Tofolli slides onto their 3rd line as a legit offensive threat - whi in case of injury can slide up. Expiring contact and money to bring him in at that......

Ratcliffe is solid enough prospect. Couple years out. 4th riunds it out.

If you are gonna suck do it right!!
3.
MIN
  1. Eyssimont, Michael
Additional Details:
Call me crazy...... but can a change of scenery help Rask? Low risk deal, possible reward.

For Minny I think it turns a page......
4.
LAK
  1. Frolík, Michael
  2. 2020 2nd round pick (CGY)
Additional Details:
For the Flames, this more than solves the blow of loosing Valamaki. Better yet, you acquire Frolik (this will be a 3 way deal btw), while eating $2 million of Martinez. For the Flames this is a huge win. Xost certainty on the blueline beyond this year while clearing additional space for Tkachuk.

Some may argue that is worth more than a 2nd, but really..... Frolik is a solid player here. I think a 2nd is a fair price point.
CGY
  1. Martinez, Alec ($2,000,000 retained)
5.
LAK
  1. Santini, Steven
  2. 2020 2nd round pick (NJD)
NSH
  1. Frolík, Michael ($2,000,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Preds have to be all in, and Frolik definitely upgrades the RW......

Santini slides in as a young RD that possibly goes long term. If not, cheap movable contract.

Kings aren't getting enough of a return to make these trades worth it. Toffoli is definitely worth more than that, as is Martinez.

Toffoli is worth a 2nd and a B prospect, not a 4th and a C prospect. The Kings would keep and re-sign him before they traded him for that return.

Martinez is worth about two 2nd round picks, but without having to retain $4M in salary, half of that for two full seasons.

Kings aren't looking to take on any long term contracts at the moment. Rask would just be another guy they'd have to protect in the expansion draft. I'm sure the Kings would consider taking on his contract to help out Minnesota, but they'd have to add a sweetener for Kings to want to do it. Minnesota would be better off looking at a team that needs the immediate help.

The only trade I'd possibly do here is the Condon deal.

I think Toffoli has the potential to be worth more. He doesn't have a high stock atm due to his poor season last year. I think LA will probably wait this one out in hopes that he has a better season this year so they can move him for a better return.
