Getting Wennberg wouldn't be smart at all... you can kiss Marner goodbye

I think wennberg still has a chance to turn it around if he could play with Matthews and nylander. I think if marner holds out (he won’t) dubas may look into a high end rental Dman first.

To answer your question I don’t think it will take much. A mid pick and B prospect.

All I know is DET fans said the same thing about Turris because him and Mantha were lighting it up.

Turris might be good for a pump and dump too but you would have to surround him with high end talent as well. My comment wasn’t based on worlds either. Just in general, he isn’t a horrible player.

I get that. Both are good players and can bounce back to some extent but the reality is the expectations will be unreachable because they will be based on the tournament for most people.

For Wennberg? I think Horton and Clarkson should do nicely. Oh, and Marner too for the trouble.
Seriously though, we don't need Defence. We really need center depth or a scoring winger.
The similar type of player for Toronto would be Johnsson, Kerfoot, or Kapanen?
Or give us our 2020 3rd back and another mid pick, say a 3rd or 4th?.

Leafs certainly don't need another centre. Any big cap signing before Marner is resigned by the Leafs (in all likelihood) just doesn't provide cap room for Marner.

What would it take? Cap space.

At this point he's a reclamation project signed to term so cost to trade for him would be minimal

The correct answer to the OP is a half-eaten bag of stale potato chips where the flavoring has been licked off of the remaining chips lol.
