Honestly, what was offered to Toronto was not enough. I hate to see Atkinson go. He seems to be the Blue Jackets offensive threat.

I see Marner as playmaker. A career season he may hit 30+ goals. Perhaps Dubois is capable of breaking out and scoring 35 - 40. He will be given lots of ice time this coming season.

I like that the Blue Jackets stayed pat in the off season, and didn’t overpay for UFA’s in recouping the players they lost. Seems to me, with just under $16M in cap, Columbus will be an ideal trading partner for clubs needing to be cap compliant. The longer it goes, the more desperate these teams will be. Columbus could end up getting some draft pics.
