My Jets team CLB NYI deals

Description
I think the RFA deals are fair. The numbers may need to be adjusted.
Jets make a nice little move with NYI and add a solid defensive minded D while shedding a bit of salary.
The Kulikov deal is basically just to get him off the roster. I picked CLB because they have the space.
I like Sheahan coming in as a depth F to help kill PIM and add some size down the middle.

Sheahan isn't NHL capable unless he plays center.

I did not know that. Maybe get rid of him and add McGinn or a vet winger capable of PK duties

Yeah both PIT and DET made the mistake to shifting him to wing at times and it was bad.

Isles can't afford to make that trade. We need to save money for next off-season and that doesn't help. I like the value though.

If certainly can work, but if Laine agrees to a bridge. I say it is far below his market value.

Trades: I don’t see any benefit for the Islanders to make such a trade. I don’t know if Kulikov would be fit with Columbus, but ideally Columbus and their cap can be in position to pick up draft picks taking salary dumbs. This trade could work as Kuliklov is playing out his contract could be moved at the trading deadline if the Blue Jackets aren’t position for a play off berth.

Just curious, is Kulikov that bad or are you that desperate to unload his contract?

Keep Kuli. No point paying someone to take him when he only has one more year left. We need to restock the cupboards anyways

He was actually pretty good last yer playing with Myers as the 3rd pairing. it is his cap hit for sure. The reason I shipped him out is to make room for Hickey. ive always liked Hickey and think he's a perfect 5-6 guy that can step up when needed. his contract is pretty decent too

I’m on board with the hickey deal. I was just responding to bluejackets question about Kulikov.?
