They can keep him for this year, they have the cap space. The problem is next year when they have Josi and co to re-sign.

Filppula doesn't play LW so him or Nielsen probably plays on the 4th while sharing PK minutes.

I know Turris' contract isn't very good for what he provides anymore, but I feel like there'd be a team out there that would still take a chance on him without NSH having to give up a 1st and 2nd just to dump his contract.

Not if he plays like **** this year lol. I figured the 2nd was for glendenning and the first was to take turris.

If that's the case the Canucks should offer Eriksson straight up tears of joy

With Detroit still rebuilding and they won’t be a contender in the next 2 years so that makes Turris nothing more than a cap dump from Detroit’s pov. Switch out Glendening for Abdelkader and take back 1 of the picks. Or just add Helm to the proposal.
The reason Detroit has at least 5-7 RFA’s to resign before the 2020-21 season and Glendening $1.8M doesn’t take enough away from Turris’s$6M

Clearly I just don't know Detroit's prospect system that well. Haha
