Next season Winnipeg has major cap issues. Next year you guys need to get defense. 2 defensemen are gone which frees up cap space but it is still gonna be a cap crunch. I say rebuild next season.

Rebuild next season? Seriously? This team has Scheifele, Laine, Connor, Ehlers, Wheeler, Byfuglien, Morrissey, and Hellebuyck and you think they need to rebuild? I'd kill for that roster. Chevy will probably unload a contract like Perreault and then Kulikov will be off the books next year. That would free up over $8M in space (assuming they don't retain on Perreault) which along with the rise in cap would be enough to get one of the many good free agent defenseman. This team is primed to be a contender for a while.

They just got Darnold man. The Jets have at least a few years they could win it all ahead of them soon.
