Dallas Stars Season Preview

Initial Creation Date: Aug. 23, 2019

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The Sharks added veteran Joe Pavelski to the mix this offseason
Coming off a decent year, Pavelski is a pretty big upgrade to the top-six for Dallas.
They also took a low risk gamble on Corey Perry who can either flop or thrive.

Roope Hintz and Gurianov look ready to make a bigger stride at NHL level.
The only problem I see is for Julius Honka. There is are too many guys fighting for that last RD spot. Honka (23) looks either to be traded or signed and played sparingly throughout the season.
Too many D isn't a bad problem but it may frustrate Honka who'd want to play a full year and live up to his first round selection.

I agree. I think he's more likely moved.

Personally, I'd take him on the 3rd pair. His possession numbers are insane. He's just being extremely underutilized in Dallas.

What's the status for Martin Hanzal? I know he had season-ending surgery, but is he expected to be back for training camp or season start?
