No way in hell Yzerman would ever deal Mantha for Ristolainen, And McIsaac sure as hell isn't available.

Why would you have to add?? Mantha is, by far, the best player in the trade. Girgensons is less than meh. Asplund is ok. Not nearly enough to make up the difference between a 1st line winger and a 4/5 dman that doesn't know how to play defense...

You are right 2nd round pick but that draft was pretty deep or so they say I guess time will tell.

If anyone sends a prospect like McIssac or anything extra the other way it’s buffalo, Risto much less tha Manthas value

I think you guys vastly overvaluing mantha. He is 25 goal and 50 point guy. His contract will be up next year and will expect a pay raise. Meanwhile risto has
scored more points then him the past three years. If he is able to play in second pairing role then he will excel. He has always been forced to play 25+ mins a night against other teams top line and a lot of PK mins. If you could cut his time to 22 mins and no PK. He would still get you 40+ points and be much better defensively. He is still just a baby.

First, you are all correct, it is unlikely that Detroit will trade Mantha unless the return is remarkable
Second, the same can be said about Ristolainen.
Third please go to https://public.tableau.com/profile/christopher.turtoro#!/vizhome/2-yearA3ZPlayerComps/ComparisonDashboard and https://evolving-hockey.com/ RAPM charts
Then compare Mantha with Conor Sheary, you will be as surprised as I am. Who would have thought that the comparisons would be as close.
So let's agree to disagree that, Detroit will not make this trade.

Yeah i believe he was drafted like #36 overall, So early in the 2nd round as was Hronek and he's looking like a stud already. McIsaac has the tools to be a pretty effective top 4 guy. Time will tell once his shoulder injury heals.
