If McAvoy situation goes south and I mean really south

Blockbuster move, from what I can remember reading on here from other users is that this may not fill EDM's needs and it doesn't really fit BOS needs either really outside adding that RW they've been looking for even tho Pool Party may not be the solution. Long term it would be tough to keep this team together beyond the 2019-20 season. I'll probably get a lot of hate, deservingly so, for trading away McAvoy. But this is kind of a worst case scenario type of mock. Miller could be moved elsewhere I just included him in the deal to make it easier. In the end of it Im just curious as to what McAvoys value is at on the market if in fact he would ever be on the trade block. WHICH HE IS NOT. Just curious to hear BOS evaluation of value on him in the trade market.

I really don't think Bruins fans realize how much they need another top 6 forward and sorry but Coyle just doesn't get it done. RNH with Krejci and Debrusk would be a solid line. Plus the overpay trade is the Oilers taking Miller who has little to no value and you Bruins fans overrate Grzelcyk a bit. I agree the original trade as proposed isn't good for the Bruins but if the Oilers added RNH and a 1st you'd be absolutely delusional to not think that's a great trade for the Bruins, your window to win cups is now and getting RNH helps with that big time!

I think context is important to consider here. While RNH, Nurse, Larsson, JP, 1st is probably more pure value than McAvoy, McAvoy is so important to Boston’s success now and in the future as a legit #1 RHD that it would take a drastic overpayment to acquire him.

Additionally, while I would love RNH, Boston really needs a RW, not another lefty. So even with an overpayment this trade still doesn’t fill Boston’s most important need. (Unless RNH can play RW?)

Sweeney wouldn't move McAvoy for Erik Karlsson, And now you just offer him even a worse deal for McAvoy. That's total garbage for a player of McAvoy's value.

Still macavoy and Miller are not worth jp, nurse and larsson. I would take those 3 over macavoy and Miller.

Bruins don’t make this trade. From a team need standpoint it makes no sense for Boston. Doubt Oilers do it either. They get the best player in the deal no question. Beyond that it makes little sense for them either.

Nurse, 2nd, Puju not enough for Mac considering how little Puju is worth at this point.

Grizz and Miller for Larssen is fairly close. They are all 2nd pair d men. Grizz has the most upside of the 3 and Larssen is incredibly overrated.

The bruins aren’t trading their best player (He is their best player, it’s not really that close) for a bunch of okay pieces. They’re good players, but not core players. Then Grzelcyk is tossed in for some reason. This just totally destroys the bruins chances. Toronto would run over them if they didn’t have Mcavoy. They would be a wild card team at best

I love the whole arguing here but their best player is a bit of an overstatement. maybe in 2 years hes that but right now no. I think going forward he might be their most important player to lead the blue line going forward

Seriously......you can't have any of the Bruins players unless you agree to give them back at least a peak period Ray Bourque, Bobby Orr, Wayne, Mario & one of Sidney, Nathan, Auston, or Connor. Add a few firsts and they might consider trading Backes to you but you'll have to retain at least the equal of Backes' salary as well.
