That's a fair offer for Brayden Point, Would be curious what team Palat would waive his full NTC for I Doubt it would be Anaheim.

Please get this done. It will get Marner of his ridiculous 11 million dollar high horse

Oh yeah, I don't think it would be Anaheim either. I just pick the 1st team on the list ha. I am curious too as to which team as well.

Completely agreed. I would guess that (b/c of fl tax breaks) that would value Marner at $9M-$9.5M based on Point's deal. That would be great for TOR smile

Wonder if he would go to Detroit Yzerman and all being both Red Wing and Lightning fan. Could see the possibility.

Palat would be a fit in Ottawa. Brings some top 6 experience to a team without a lot of that.

I think Tierney for Palat would make sense. Tierney can replace that offense at half the price and can play centre. Also frees up a centre spot for Logan Brown in Ottawa's top 9

Would love to see this as a Leafs fan, Marner's asking price is outrageous to me.

Hopefully it gets announced soon and we start seeing some of these RFAs sign. Not good for the league to have all this incredible talent not playing.

I could see a lot of trades between JBB and Yzerman. (Just like TBL and NYR have done.) They have a great relationship. They aren't gonna screw each other over. Both can help each other. DET is where TBL was a few years ago. TBL is in "win now" mode. So different goals right now for each team so why not make deals where both teams win the trade. Also, it's very low risk for Yzerman to pick up players he knows very well. Lastly, Tampa players would probably waive NTC's knowing it's Yzerman and Yzerman will have DET competitive soon enough.

Probably not, but he'd be a good fit regardless.

The Leafs can make basically his entire contract bonuses which is as big an advantage as tax free states.

People who think this is too low need to realize the tax situation in Florida and the fact Point loves Tampa and doesn’t wanna sign too high to create cap problems. I think this gets done. As for Palat I could see Buffalo the Islanders or Calgary. Maybe Edmonton but I doubt he waives to go there.

Centers worth more than wingers, so Point at 8.5m means marner at 8.5, signing him for more would be bad

Sorry got cut off before i could finish. Meant to say that being both a Red Wing and Lightning fan here. Would love to see deals going down between Yzerman and BreisBois.
