Description

Don’t know how credible @iamhockey1 is but here’s how it would look
He said laine and the jets are 1.5 m apart. He also said rantanen is getting 8x8 right now and point is 8.5 x 8. Therefore the jets are probably saying 8m and laine wants 9.5. I split the difference. I think this is also fair as he should be paid more than rantanen and less than point (adjusted his cap hit to 9m compared to laine because Florida is a no income tax state)

McGinn poses as a Tanev replacement who is in fact an upgrade if he can stay healthy (since he can actually score as well). If not hopefully suess steps in and plays a similar role

Right now but how about in 2-3 years when Laine is a much more complete player who drives offence? The jets should not be trying to bridge the guy. He is gonna blow soon and he better be signed long term before that

Even give laine the win for longterm happiness and 1 million more than wheeler, if that’s what it take to get it done. Always said they are only going to win when jets drafted players are the bread and butter of this team, and the rest have aged out or smaller roles. Got to gamble on the bromance and the kids.
