Description

Carolina is in need of another LHD after trading away Calvin DeHaan. Contract negotiations between Columbus and Werenski seem to be as cold as well... every other RFA right now. So I thought that taking Werenski off of their hands could be feasible. I included Brett Pesce, a decent shutdown defenseman with occasional offensive production. The first and third round picks are also included to even out the deal for Columbus, and with Adam Fox being projected by some to slot directly into New York's lineup, that third may become a second round pick

Why not just offersheet him? Pesce is a great shutdown top 4 D man on a team friendly deal, no deal involves him, move Faulk not Pesce. Pesce played 2LD last year anyway so it's no different, except a 3rd pairing LD man is getting a chance from Charlotte
