message to many Leafs fans: players that are likely to be healthy scratched have minimal to no value. Specifically Petan and Gauthier who I keep seeing in trades. They're as likely to be waived as traded. Don't expect more than a 5ths value for either of them

Wasn't talking about the trade itself. But the contract. Leafs gave him what he wanted, no negotiation at all. Gave him the dollars and years. Brought him right to UFA status. He's not McDavid, and even McDavid got 8 years.
